The room at Che Lagarto Hostel Morro de São Paulo was so cozy and inviting. It had a bright and colorful vibe that instantly made us feel at home. As a laid-back couple, we loved the free WiFi in our room. It kept us connected and allowed us to share our amazing beach photos with friends and family. The private bathroom with a shower was a great addition. It had complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer, making our stay even more convenient. We really enjoyed the TV room where we could relax and watch DVDs. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day at the beach.
Personally, we found the shops near the hostel a bit too crowded for our liking. But others might enjoy the hustle and bustle.

I had a fantastic stay at Che Lagarto in Morro de Sao Paulo! The staff was lovely and the organized dinners were a great idea. It was so easy to meet other guests and the food was delicious. The room was clean and comfortable, and I loved how it was cleaned every day. The location was perfect, right in the center close to the plaza and shops. The hostel had a great community feel, especially perfect for solo travelers. The communal kitchen helped keep travel costs down, and there was even a place to shower and store luggage before and after check-in. I really loved staying here!
Nothing that I didn't like 😊

We had a blast exploring the beautiful beaches of Morro de Sao Paulo and dancing the night away at the vibrant bars and clubs in the area. The staff at the hostel were super cool and always made sure we were having a great time. Plus, the hostel had a fantastic common area where we could hang out and meet other young travelers like us. It was the perfect place for young party-goers like us to have an unforgettable vacation!
If there was one thing we could ask for to make our experience even better, it would be to have more organized party nights at the hostel. While we had a blast going out in town, it would have been even more fun if the hostel organized special events or themed parties for young party-goers like us.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The location was super convenient, right in the center of everything. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Anderson who made the most mind-blowing pizzas and hamburgers for us. The private bedroom was sparkling clean, and even though it could have been a bit cheaper in the winter season, it was still worth it. The breakfast was nice, although it would have been even better with bacon and sausage. The hostel had great facilities like wi-fi, a shared kitchen, air conditioning, a bar/lounge area, and a leisure/TV room. There were also fun activities like table tennis, billiard tables, and board games. The luggage storage and 24-hour security were a big plus. I highly recommend this hostel for its good price and awesome atmosphere.

I chose Che Lagarto Hostel Morro de São Paulo specifically because I wanted to visit Third Beach, which is just 1.14 km away. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that guests are allowed to prepare barbecue on the deck surrounded by trees. I loved the convenience of having many restaurants, shops, pizzerias, and a drugstore nearby. The daily buffet breakfasts and free WiFi were also great perks.
Beware of the "catamaran direct transportation" scam offered by someone associated with Che Lagarto.

We had an amazing stay at a hostel in the centre of town. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was welcoming with a great community feel. the house itself was very clean and well-equipped, with nice extras like hammocks and good cooking facilities. Our room for six people was clean and comfortable, with proper lockers. the location was perfect, just a short walk to the famous beach and right next to the main square. it was one of the cleanest and most enjoyable hostels we've ever stayed in. Cons: There was nothing I didn't like. 😊.

Great place to meet new people, lovely staff: the staff at the hostel were fantastic, always friendly and willing to help. They made me feel welcome and were happy to provide recommendations and tips for exploring the island. the organized dinners were a great way to meet other guests and the food was delicious.
Small shared room: the shared room was a bit cramped, not leaving much space for bags or personal belongings. It would have been nice to have a bit more space to move around and store things.
